Case 1 - Arm Paralysis and Pain

This client was in a roll over car accident three years ago. She had to have neck surgery.

When I first met her, she could not move her right arm and had no feeling in her right hand and fingers. She moved her right arm with her left arm. She had no range of motion in this arm.

She was in constant pain and had taken oxycodone (a pain killer) for more than 2 years. Her pain was in her neck, back and right arm.

I saw her for five sessions of Bowen work. After the first three sessions she was able to stop taking the pain killers and she started to have feeling in her right arm and hand. After the fifth session she had total feeling in her arm, hand and fingers. She could move her fingers normally. I also taught her self-hypnosis to help her relax and heal faster. She returned to physical therapy where they are assisting her with strengthening of her right arm. Her range of motion continues to improve with her strengthening exercises.

She continues to come in for just massage to help her deal with the soreness from the physical therapy exercises. Her muscles in her right arm are coming back little by little and she is able to do more and more by herself including cooking and cleaning the house. She is very happy and feels wonderful again.

Case 2 - Rotator Cuff Injury and Pain

This client came in with pain in his right shoulder and a limited range of motion of about 20 degrees. He held his right arm with his left hand in order to move. He is a landscaper and uses his arms and shoulders every day. This was a repetitive motion injury.

I saw him for four sessions of Bowen work. He improved with each session. His pain went away and by the last session he had total range of motion. He only had a little discomfort in the rotator cuff itself which he iced every night after work. The client was amazed and happy with the results.
